Using OLAPLEX at home

Parts 1 and 2 take place in the salon as part of a professional treatment and can’t be bought for use at home. That’s where steps 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 come in. And now, there’s  a step zero. You can mix and match which you want to use, but using all six, could get you your best hair ever!

The No.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment as a pre-treatment hair mask designed to prime your lengths for the upcoming dye process it’s about to undertake.

Apply to dry hair once to three times a week at home prior to your salon appointment, leave on for ten minutes, then follow with Olaplex No.3 to encourage strong, healthy hair.

OLAPLEX No.3

Olaplex No.3Apply Olaplex No.3 to damp hair (it’s a pre shampoo treatment) and gently brush through. Bleached hair is fragile when it’s wet, so be careful.

For best results sleep with Olaplex No.3 in your hair and wash out in the morning with a moisture rich sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. You’ll feel a difference instantly! Do it once a week to keep your hair health on point.

OLAPLEX No.4 & 5

Olaplex’s No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner  give your entire hair wash routine a super nourishing overhaul.

OLAPLEX No.6

OLAPLEX No.6The Bond Smoother, which was previously only available in hair salons. You can now use this leave-in cream at home. The Bond Smoother seeks out broken bonds (caused by bleaching, hair straightening and over brushing) and repairs them, restoring them to their former glory.

Apply a small amount – a little goes a long way, to the mid lengths and ends of damp or dry hair and comb through.

OLAPLEX No.7

Finish with a few drops of the OLAPLEX No.7 Bonding Oil and your hair will feel all sorts of soft and healthy. Lightweight, non-sticky and formulated to target dry, brittle hair, strengthening it against future damage. It’s sulphate-free, vegan and protects against heat damage as well.

Another Lockdown from Thursday

Now that the 2nd Lockdown has officially been announced, I would just like to let you know how we will be moving forward.

  • If you have an appointment already booked within the next month, please don’t worry – we will be in contact with you over the next couple of days regarding your appointment.
  • Appointments that are booked in after the 5th December will remain the same. At the moment, we see no need to make any changes to your appointments.
  • The team have decided that we will work as many hours as possible over the next 3 days, so we will be extending our opening hours to try to get through as many of our clients as we can. Please do bear with us as we try our very best to get salon appointments in order for Wednesday.

Lastly, please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to keep the salon a safe and Covid-free space. You can help us with this by coming alone to your appoinment and by wearing a mask.Thank you for your continued support, it does mean the world to us,

As we head into the colder months and in line with government and industry body guidelines, we have once again implemented changes to help ensure the safety of our team as well as you, our valued guests.

  • Wash basins are sanitised once a client has had their hair washed
  • Each individual work area is sanitised once a client has left
  • We now use only disposable towels
  • Gowns are washed after each use
  • Hand sanitiser is available at the door, we politely request that this be used when entering the salon
  • Our staff sanitise and wash their hands throughout the day

We now have the NHS Track and Trace app for your convenience. Please look out for the QR Codes which are available throughout the salon and scan yourself in as soon as you enter the salon.  Please see this article if you have any problems using the app or do feel free to ask any of our team and they will happily help you.

COVID-19 Guidelines for appointments

The salon will re-open on the 4th July 2020 and we can’t wait to see you.  We have been  preparing the salon with the necessary measures to ensure that it’s a a safe place for you as well as our team.

With this in mind,  could you please read the following points carefully before attending your appointment

  • We have extended our opening hours and limited our capacity to ensure we are following the required social distancing recommendations.
  • Please do not attend your appointment if you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Each Stylist will only have one client in the salon at a time.
  • We will provide a hand sanitiser station at reception, and we’ll ask you to use it when entering and leaving the salon.
  • We are unable to offer refreshments
  • The toilet is closed to clients
  • Please come alone to your appointment – do not bring your family or friends
  • Please don’t bring coats or jackets to the salon unless they are absolutely necessary
  • On arrival, please wait outside and your stylist will come and collect you
  • Patch Testing requirements still apply
  • We won’t be providing magazines for the time being, due to the risk of cross-contamination
  • Please don’t wander around the salon or pick up retail items. A member of the team will be very happy to help you if there is something you would like to look at
  • Salon staff will be in full PPE, including face visors. If you have a mask, then please do wear it. We will have masks in the salon that can be purchased for a small fee
  • We are doing our utmost to give everyone on our waiting list an appointment. We will be working with reduced customers in the salon and extended opening hours. This means that we will be fully implementing our cancellation policy and you will be charged for late cancellation or no show
  • There may be a service charge on clients bills for time taken and colour used

We are a COVID aware salon

We know that many clients are really nervous about returning to the salon, so we hope that this COVID Aware Certification which we have received from The Good Salon Guide will give you the confidence that we are doing everything possible to keep you safe.

We already put hygiene and cleanliness at the forefront in the salon, and are on top of new health and safety guidelines. As a COVID Aware Certified salon we have proved that we are taking serious measures to keep both their staff and you safe from COVID-19.

Some of the measures that a COVID Aware salon has in place are:

  • Completion of a full COVID-19 Risk Assessment
  • Full staff training relating to COVID-19 – Risk Assessment, use of PPE, sanitisation etc.
  • Regular management checks to ensure measures are in place and followed
  • Sanitisation of the salon, including hand sanitisation for staff, clients and visitors
  • Social distancing is in place and enforced
  • Track and Trace systems in place

The Priory Hair Lounge is an award winning salon situated on the outskirts of Winchester. Our mission is to make our guests look and feel their best. We use only the best products in our salon to create the perfect look for our guests, products include Wella and Label M.

We have a very large clientele with a column waiting for the new team member as a member of our staff is going on maternity leave.  Please note this is a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing your own clientele
  • Delivering the highest customer service to our guests, to ensure that their experience is as memorable as possible
  • Ensuring your guests are relaxed and comfortable
  • Recommending products to guests

Requirements:

  • You must be proficient in cutting both ladies and gents hair
  • Proficient in colour
  • Preferably will have worked with Wella before although training will be given on Wella and Label M products
  • NVQ level 3 isn’t irrelevant,  but will be a must to do
  • At least 3/4 years salon experience with 1/2 years flow experience

More training will be provided on a weekly basis, given by our in-salon Wella Master Colour Expert and Wella Professional Trainers.

Coronavirus

With the threat of Coronavirus becoming part of our lives, there are just a few things which we would like to bring to your attention when visiting the salon. We would like you to be aware of the steps we take to ensure safety for us all.

Regular Cleaning

The salon is cleaned on a daily basis. Hard surfaces are wiped with anti-bacterial wipes.

Guests in the Salon

Please let us know if you have recently visited any of the affected areas. We are very happy to re-schedule appointments for you if you feel you need to self-isolate.

Hand Washing

We wash our hands frequently during the day and there are facilities available if any customers wish to wash their own hands. There is a supply of hand sanitising gel available for your use if required.
