Meet the Priory Hair Team
Artistic Director & Owner
I’ve been a hairdresser since 1999. I joined a well-known Hampshire salon where I quickly fast-tracked to progress through the stylist levels and then joined Nirvana after 6 years. I worked across all the salons in the Nirvana profile and continued to train and grow my knowledge, becoming a Wella Master Colour Expert (MCE) in 2011. I’m one of only a handful of people in the UK to have this accreditation and it makes me proud that The Priory can offer an enhanced level of expertise to our customers. Colour correction is my passion, I’m confident that there’s nothing we can’t fix, and it’s so satisfying to see how happy people are when they leave and the difference we can make. That’s why we’re here.
I’ve been working as a hairdresser for 15 years and I’m proud to say that I love my job! To me, helping to make someone’s vision for their hair a reality is incredibly satisfying. Consultations are key in this process, it’s when we can really look at what we need to do to create the best results. It might be a bold new colour or extensions to create some body and thickness. Whatever it is, there’s something for everyone and I love making it happen.
I’ve been a hairdresser for 6 years and I love learning new skills and keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and products. It’s so satisfying to know that I’ve made a difference to someone’s day by making them look and feel great. It doesn’t matter whether I’m doing a cut, colour, perm or styling it’s so rewarding to have such a positive impact on people.
I’ve been working in the hairdressing industry for over 12 years and joined the team in September 2019, i based myself in Guildford; where in 2009 i became the Regional Stylist of the year and National Avant Guard Photographic Image Award Winner.
I have a Diploma in L’Oreal Professional Hair Colour and became a Goldwell Colour Expert in 2013. Not only being artistic but a self confessed geek, I love the challenge of colour change and correction along with the science and chemistry involved within it!
I pride myself on creating easy to manage hair styles for my clients that they can easily recreate for themselves. I particularly enjoy working with short and curly hair.
Currently I’m heavily involved with the training and development of our apprentices and I’m absolutely loving it.
Moving forward I would like to get more involved in competion and photographic work as a team, as I believe we all need to show case more of the talents that we have!
Rosie started with us on the 24th August 2020 and works on Monday to Thursday and Saturdays. We are so excited to have her as part of our team. Rosie is a Creative Stylist, with several years experience in a very well known chain of salons and brings her confidence and colour knowledge to the salon.
I’ve been working at The Priory since August 2019 and I’m one of the apprentice’s here. It is safe to say I love what I do in the salon – meeting and greeting and welcoming clients. One of my favourite things I do in the salon is talking to the clients to give them the best experience whilst in the salon. At this moment in time I am attending Eastleigh college on a one day release. Before starting hairdressing, I attended college for 2 years study triple BTEC sport but I didn’t think that was for me and I decided to go follow my passion. My interests outside of work are playing football, which I play for Winchester Ladies, one of my biggest passions in life, and doing makeup on other people and on myself is another great hobbie of mine.
I am one of 2 apprentice’s in the salon and I’m only 17. I already love hairdressing and learning about new trends, different techniques and watching the other girls work with their own clients so I can put my knowledge into my work on clients whilst training.
I really love styling hair weather that’s hair ups on brides or finishing the hair all the different ways for a special event really interest me. I really want to push my hairdressing career as far as I can because I enjoy everything I do In the salon.
