The Priory Hair Lounge is proud to support the Winchester Branch of The Hygiene Bank charity again this year

The Hygiene Bank is a UK charity supporting a nationwide network of local community partners to give access to basic hygiene products to those pulled into hygiene poverty. Their latest report reveals that 4.2 million adults in the UK are unable to afford basic hygiene essentials, such as razors, laundry detergent or deodorant.

Since 2022, the cost of living and inflation crises have pushed an additional 1.1m people into hygiene poverty – the equivalent of
the population of Birmingham.

How we can help

• Product Donations: Toothpaste, a pack of nappies, a deodorant or shower gel can make a huge difference – helping a child to go to school with clean teeth and uniform or giving your neighbour the confidence to go out and see their family.
• Cash Donations: Your gift will enable The Hygiene Bank in Winchester to continue to provide basic hygiene essentials to those in our local community who have been pulled into hygiene poverty and will help end hygiene poverty, once and for all.

The Priory Hair Lounge is a Drop Off Point in November

Your generosity helps get basic hygiene products to those pulled into hygiene poverty in our community. Because everyone deserves to feel clean.

Best Salon Team in Hampshire for 2021

The Priory Hair Lounge team is a close knit group. Most of the team have worked in the salon for 5 years or more. We work long hours and it’s imperative to the success of the salon that as a team, we work towards our goal of ensuring that our clients hair looks good and they feel great when they leave the salon. We support and guide each other through every day.

We are all enthusiastic about keeping our skills fresh and up-to-date and undertake regular training, with Wella as well as with a number of our other suppliers. We are aware that growing our knowledge and skills ensures that we can offer you hair styling that leaves your self-esteem sky high.

We also love mentoring our younger team members. Those just starting out in their careers as hair stylists.

The girls have worked so hard this year to bring glamour and a sense of normality back to a world that has seen a lot of doom and gloom. We have tried our utmost to maintain a Covid aware salon, never knowing what the next change in legislation might bring.

I am super proud of my team and all that they have achieved and it is truly wonderful to have this recognised in this award.
